Aion 2 guides: Useful Resources and Planning Tips

The global version of Aion 2 is only a few weeks old, and guides are appearing faster than anyone can check them. This piece is about using them well: knowing which kind of information keeps its value, which kind expires with the next patch, and how to turn reading into a plan.

Aion 2 at a glance

Aion 2 is NCSOFT's Unreal Engine 5 successor to the original Aion. The game reached South Korea and Taiwan in November 2025, close to a year ahead of everyone else. Everyone else waited until 5 October 2026, when the global version opened for PC on Steam and on NCSOFT's own PURPLE launcher; early access had started five days before. There is no purchase price, since the game is free-to-play.

The global launch brought servers in four regions (North America, South America, Europe, and Asia via Japan) and support for several voice and text languages, English included. That spread matters for guides: you will find material written for different regions, at different points in the game's history.

Sorting guides by how fast they go stale

A quick way to judge a guide is to ask what it is built on. Some parts of Aion 2 are structural and unlikely to change from week to week:

  • Two factions, Elyos and Asmodians, plus the Balaur, who also feature in the setting.
  • Eight classes at launch, listed here in no particular order: Spiritmaster, Ranger, Gladiator, Cleric, Assassin, Templar, Chanter and Sorcerer.
  • Flying as a combat tool, not just a travel option.
  • Combat that mixes tab-targeting with positioning.
  • Content for solo players and groups: dungeons of both kinds, bigger raids, PvP arenas, realm-vs-realm fights across servers, and the Abyss, built around faction conflict.

Other topics belong to the current patch and should always carry a date. Think of the level cap, which crafting professions exist, gear tiers and stat values, drop rates, the names of specific dungeons and how many players a group activity needs. Sources already disagree on several of these, so a guide that states them confidently without saying which version it covers deserves extra scrutiny.

Matching the source to the question

No single site answers everything well. For anything that changes with balance updates, the game's own patch notes and in-game guides come first; they are the only places that describe the version you are actually playing. Community guides are strong on explaining why something works and how players approach it, and weaker on numbers that may have shifted since they were written. Video walkthroughs sit somewhere in between: watching a fight or a flight sequence teaches a lot, but check the upload date and the patch shown on screen, and skip comment-section claims that nobody can trace.

Regional history adds a wrinkle. Material written for the Korean and Taiwanese servers predates the global launch by nearly a year. It can be a helpful preview, but it may describe a different patch or tuning, so confirm anything specific against the global client before you rely on it.

If you would rather start from a single index of topic pages, see the full overview of guide categories on Aion2Boost and use it as a map of subjects to read about, then check patch-sensitive details in the game's notes.

Planning your first weeks with guides

  1. Choose a faction and class from the official descriptions before reading build advice; you will understand the advice far better once you know the role you want.
  2. Ask one question per session, such as how flight changes a fight, and read two sources on it rather than ten.
  3. Keep a short notes file with the date and patch for every tip you adopt, so you know what to recheck after an update.
  4. Try solo dungeons before group content, and watch how groups behave before joining raids.
  5. Decide early whether arenas, realm-vs-realm battles or the Abyss interest you, because PvP and PvE goals pull your time in different directions.

Service sites and account rules

Boosting and leveling businesses publish Aion 2 material alongside their offers. Their guide pages can be readable overviews, but remember that hiring a booster, sharing a login or trading for real money may conflict with the game's terms of service, and it is your account that gets penalized. Before using any service, check what it asks for:

  • Whether it requires your login details or access to your account.
  • Whether the company name, contact route and refund terms are clearly stated.
  • Whether its descriptions of game systems match the current patch notes.
  • Whether the current terms of service allow what is offered.

Keeping your notes current

Because the global version is new, systems and balance will keep moving for a while. A habit of rereading your notes after each major update, and dropping tips that no longer match the game, does more for your progress than collecting another stack of guides. Stable knowledge about factions, classes and combat style stays with you; the numbers are what need regular checking. When two guides disagree, assume the newer one is closer to the truth only if it names the patch, and otherwise test the point yourself in a low-risk setting before changing your plans.
